Fabric coating process

Fabric coating method should be selected according to product requirements, common fabric coating methods are the following:

Dry method

This method is a traditional process, the method is relatively simple, as long as the coating agent diluted with solvent or water at the required concentration, and add the necessary chemicals and colorants dubbed the coating slurry, with a spread coater evenly coated on the fabric , And then dried, baked, the solvent or water evaporation, the substrate to form a tough film. The process is as follows:cloth roll一coating一drying一roll pressure (or copy)一 cooling一finished roll.

Wet method

Dissolve the coating agent (such as polyurethane) with dimethyl formamide (DMF) to form a coating slurry, and after coating, immerse it in water to form a coagulation film. Since DMF can be immiscible with water, DMF dissolves in water and polyurethane does not dissolve in water, the concentration rapidly increases and finally deposits on the base cloth.

During the coating solidification, due to the effect of the semipermeable membrane, DMF drastically exuded from the polyurethane, resulting in channel micropores perpendicular to the membrane surface. Therefore, the surface of the polymer film is porous, and if the diameter of the micro larvae L is controlled within 0.5 - 5 um, the waterproof fabric can be made breathable, waterproof and moisture-permeable. Wet coating process as follows:cloth roll一coating一 impregnation Solidified in an aqueous solution 一drying一 cooling一finished roll.

Melting method

It is the thermoplastic resin as coating agent heating coating on the base cloth, stand-by, hot pressing roller or iron hot pressing, the original coated on the base cloth dot, linear or mesh resin melt again , Bonded to the fabric being processed, commonly used to bond the liner. The process depending on the coating method, the common are the following:

1) dusting method. Is the powder resin with electromagnetic vibrating device, the powder evenly spread on the fabric surface, and then without contact with the oven (or infrared tube) for fixation. This method commonly used ethylene vinyl acetate coating agent, referred to as EVA lining processing.

2) powder point method. It is coated on two hot rollers and one engraving roller combination. The upper part of the engraving roll has a coating agent and a scraper. The resin falls into the groove of the engraving roll. After being heated by the roller, the cloth surface temperature can reach 160-180 DEG C, and the powder is completed at the moment of contact with the engraving roll Point transfer. Heat roller temperature control at 160-240 ℃, nylon powder transfer temperature of about 55 ℃, polyethylene powder at about 95 ℃.
